Flock – the next big thing?

Posted by Falak on February 22, 2006

I started using this new browser based on Firefox that is Flock, it is basically Firefox but well furnished, cosmetics and a little bit plastic surgery makes it look a lot better.

The developers say that it will crash a little but what I have found by simultaneously using FIrefox and Flock, Flock is faster, looks better and it crashed not even once while Firefox like normal crashed 2-3 times!

I downloaded the official extensions with a couple fo others, Firefox extensions can be converted into Flock extensions using FLockD but I experienced some problems while installing Google Web Comments and the Google Toolbar but StumbleUpon and Technorati work fine with it.

Here are some links from where you can download Flock extensions :-

To download Flock please use the link in my Trackers and Ads category for links.

Please comment and answer can Flock be the next big thing after Firefox?

Hey Flock Falak. BETA versions are for programmers and software experts to play around with. Not for public use. Hell, it is a browser. If it has some vulnerabilities, your PC can be screwed up. Just like IE.

Wait for the full version to be released….

Well, the thing is I don’t have any problem if the browser has vulnerabilities and also if it does even format my HDD, I have like back-up of like 50 CDs so not even an TXT document in the My Documents folder will be lost! :P And on top of that all my documents are uploaded on the web too! :)

Okay! Good to see that you make a backup!

Flock is no doubt faster than Firefox (or maybe I found so!) But as far as I know, most people are not aware about it. Once it spreads, maybe it will be the next big thing.
